Albion Valves (UK) Limited launches EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro: a combination valve assembly for modern multi-occupancy buildings
Albion Valves (UK) Limited is delighted to launch the EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro, a new-to-the-market combination valve assembly designed for use in multi-occupancy buildings, available in two configurations. Both configurations are manufactured from bronze for increased corrosion resistance to both dezincification and stress corrosion cracking, and overall product durability.
The EasyFlow valve assembly combines an isolation valve (approved as a stop valve under the Water Regulations Approval Scheme (WRAS)), a pressure reducing valve (PRV), in-line pressure gauges for upstream and downstream pressure measurement, a built-in Double Check valve (complies with water regulations and BS EN 13959), and a Class D water meter connection point.
The EasyFlow Pro comprises the same part make-up as the EasyFlow, but has an additional isolation ball valve with an integral drain.
Both the EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro models are supplied with a bespoke, moulded insulation jacket as standard, which complies with BS EN 13501-1. Both versions also come complete with an adaptor, meaning the unit is suitable for 3/4” and 1” requirements.
The EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro are WRAS-approved, Reg4-compliant, and can be used on systems up to 16 bar and 80°C. The outlet/downstream pressure of the PRV is adjustable between 1.5 and 6 bar, but is pre-set at the factory to 3 bar. The valves can be fitted horizontally or vertically but are unidirectional.
These bespoke valves have been designed by Albion Valves to provide a practical solution for consultants, contractors, and building operators seeking control, consistency, repeatability, and easier servicing.
This new range aims to simplify specification, speed up installation, and make ongoing maintenance easier.
The purpose of these combination valves is to allow each residence to have individual control over their own water requirements, whilst simultaneously mitigating the need for inlet valve chains. Inlet valve chains are often unsuitable due to their length and the tight, restrictive space in risers and service cupboards. Having multiple components combined into a single compact unit makes the system design, installation, and maintenance much more efficient. It also saves space, allows for neater installs, and reduces the number of potential leak paths.
It is therefore no surprise that many multi-occupancy specifications now lean towards consolidating these key functions into a single, compact assembly.
Dave Rhodes, Albion’s Technical Manager, comments: ‘The EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro were developed to make multi-occupancy water control simpler to specify and faster to deliver on site, without compromising on long-term maintenance. This launch reflects what the industry is asking for: compact assemblies that reduce complexity, reduce risk, and support consistent outcomes across an entire building.’
The EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro are available for next-day delivery.
